Funky Wedding Invitations

Why do people use the same old wedding invitations over and over again? Why not use some funky wedding invitations? When it comes to weddings people want them to be perfect. There’s no room for error. Using the same old wedding invitations gives us a safer feeling. After all, they’ve been used before and they’ve performed admirably. What would people think if you’d be using some funky wedding invitations? Is it really that important what other people think? Let me tell you something, it’s far more compelling to receive a unique wedding invitation than it is to receive a traditional. Specially if said person has been invited to a few weddings prior to yours, receiving the same type of invitation again? “Don’t people have any imagination?!”

The decisions you make are very different prior to when you decide to get married and after. Studies have shown that we think and make decisions differently when in another emotional state. This is why people often say that they want to spice their wedding up, to do something unique, but end up simply going for a traditional type of wedding. They get nervous that something might go wrong or what people might think, and decide to take the ‘safer’ root. Why risk using funky wedding invitations when these other ones have been tested?

Why Use Funky Wedding Invitations?

People love unique ideas, and it’s no different with wedding invitations. I’d prefer to receive a funky wedding invitation over a traditional any day of the week. Will it be perfect? Will others think it’s perfect? Does it really matter? Your wedding will be perfect to you, since you’re marrying the love of your life. This will be one of the happiest days of your lives, whether everything goes as planed or not.

Funky Wedding Invitations

The Perfect Wedding

Using a personalized wedding invitation let’s you express yourself. You get to design your wedding invitations exactly as want them. Don’t be afraid to call a professional for help. They’ll tell you if they think it’s too much. After all, they’ve got a ton of experience and know what people like. Tell him or her what you’d like. How you’d like it designed. Get creative. Most professionals will often listen to what you say and design a few sample wedding invitations. You then get to pick one, or if none of them is exactly as you want it, you can tell him to work more with one of them. It doesn’t have to be rocket science to choose a unique invitation.

Do People Hate Unique Wedding Invitations?

I, for one, love funky wedding invitations. I love how you can personalize them to express exactly what both of you are feeling for each other. If you’re afraid they’ll hate your design, call a few friends over and show them a few samples. Don’t tell them which one you like or have designed. You want their honest feedback to decide which one they’ll like. Personally I wouldn’t care too much about when others think. If both of you love the design, then it’s perfect. A common misconception (this is my personal opinion) is that you’re throwing a wedding for other people. Sure, you want the guests to have a good time, eat a great dinner, and leave thinking ‘that was a good wedding’. Nevertheless, your wedding is suppose to celebrate the joining of two loved ones. It’s supposed to be perfect.. perfect for you. Not only your guests.

Funky Wedding InvitationsWhat good is it to have a traditional wedding invitation that you hate, only because other people like it? I’d much prefer a funky wedding invitation that I loved. A card that when I looked at it, I’d remember how both of us came up with the idea behind it. That tells me how much I care for the love of my life. That reminds me of how perfect our wedding was, and what a good time the both of us had.

It’s obviously different from person to person. Allot of brides and grooms want their wedding to be perfect for their guests. They want to keep a ‘well-liked’ status among friends and family. This is obviously understandable. But if your friends start to think less of you simply because you choose a funky wedding invitation that they don’t like, over something they like.. are they really as good friends as you thought they were?

You should do exactly what you want on this day. If you want a traditional, go for it. If you want something more unique, go for it. Don’t put so much thought in what others will think. Do whatever feels best for you, the both of you. I’m not saying you should choose an invitation with a thousand different colors (although if that’s what you want, you should! ). I’m saying you should choose whichever fits you best.

There are a lot of different wedding invitations that you could settle for. Some examples include the Peacock Wedding Invitations, which are gorgeous. Another popular type of invitation are the Fall Wedding Invitations. They’re of course mostly used in autumn. I’m not saying that you should choose one of these invitations, I’m simply trying to inspire you to come up with your own designs. They don’t have to be very complicated, in fact they can be as simple as the Pink Wedding Invitations. And if you’re having a themed wedding, you could go with something along the lines of the Black and White Wedding Invitations. Get inspired and make your own design!

To summarize, thinking too much about what other people think can do more harm than good. You become paranoid and you might not be as happy with the decisions you make, as you’d want to be. Funky wedding invitations can be extremely rewarding, if you end up choosing exactly what you want.
